LWPI's Certified Wedding and Event Planning course is an intensive program designed to educate students on the wedding and event planning business “best practices”, methods and techniques to get started in the planning industry right away.

Students have access to online course curriculum, the course textbook, student center library of resources, instructional videos and templates. Through the student center students can also connect with other students around the world in discussion boards, messaging, blogs and individual online classes. Through the career center students can apply for internships and/or job placement assistance.

This comprehensive program is updated quarterly through a network of hundreds of seasoned wedding & event planning professionals working in the industry. LWPI consistently updates the course curriculum with the industry's best practices, latest trends, and successful tips from the business of wedding & event planning.

This course covers everything from identifying the right vendors, contracts, wedding etiquette, customs and traditions from over 20 different cultures worldwide, gown styles & veils, event planning project management, event design, sales & marketing, pre and post wedding parties, how to expand your business, business plans, production and operations management and industry insider best business practices and latest technology.

Whether you plan on working part-time, planning only a few weddings a year or a full-time career, this program will provide you with all of the tools necessary to start your business or begin working as a professional wedding planner for a local venue or area wedding business.

Instructors and Mentors 
Students can contact their instructor/mentor as often as they need during the course by phone, email, message, and skype. LWPI mentors and instructors are assigned to each student to assist with the course requirements and to prepare students for the CWEP exam. Instructors and mentors also provide support and guidance to make sure each student stays on track to complete the course and move forward into an internship opportunity.

Materials
The materials include the professional event planning software, Professional Wedding and Event Planning Textbook. This book includes all materials needed to complete the course. Within the book students also receive a manual with templates for contracts, business plans, wedding planning packages, themed weddings and designs so that students can utilize these resources to build their own business tools. The student library contains hundreds of downloadable documents to build your business or career.

Timeline
The program is based on 8 - 10 weeks of study and can be done at the student’s own pace up to 6 consecutive months. Students that pass the 6 month period will be subject to additional fees for re-activation and enrollment.

Career/Job Placement Assistance
Graduates can utilize LWPI's career assistants department. LWPI's career center assist students with finding local internships and job placement assistance. LWPI students receive hands-on training opportunities and also qualify for both paid and non-paid internships.
