Chattahoochee Technical College-Marrieta Campus presents LWPI's Wedding and Event Planning Certification Program

The Wedding Planning Institute’s Certification is an intensive program designed to educate students on the wedding and event planning business “best practices”, methods and techniques to get started in the planning industry right away.

Students have access to online course curriculum, student center library of resources, instructional videos and templates. Through the student center students can also connect with other students around the world in disscussion boards, messaging, blogs and individual online classes. Through the career center students can apply for internships and/or job placement assistance.

This comprehensive program is updated quarterly through a network of hundreds of seasoned wedding & event planning professionals & instructors working in the industry. LWPI consistently updates the course curriculum with the industry's best practices, latest trends and successful tips from the business of wedding & event planning.

This comprehensive course covers everything from Vendors & Contracts, Wedding Etiquette, Wedding Customs and Traditions from over 20 different cultures worldwide, Wedding Gown Styles & Veils, Wedding Event Planning, Writing your Business Plan, Signature Wedding Design, Invitations, Public Relations, Wedding Music Selections, Sales & Marketing, Pre and Post Wedding Parties, How to expand your business, Relationship Education, Production and Operations Management and industry insider best business practices and application.

Whether you plan on working part-time, planning only a few weddings a year or a full-time career, this program will provide you with all of the tools necessary to start your business or begin working as a professional wedding planner for a local venue or area wedding business.

Instructor Assistance
Online Students can contact their instructor as often as they need during the course. Online students also have access to other students in the course through our online message boards. Here students find additional resources, support and networking with wedding planners from all over the world including those in their area. Many of our students utilize this network even after graduation. Online students come from many diverse backgrounds, situations and countries bringing additional resources of information to our student’s educational experience.

The materials include the Professional Wedding Planning and Event Planning TextBook. This book includes all materials needed to complete the course. Within the book students also receive a manual with templates for contracts, business plans, wedding planning packages, themed weddings and designs so that students can utilize these resources to build their own business tools.

Timeline
The program is based on 8 - 10 weeks of study and can be done at the student’s own pace up to 6 consecutive months. Students that are inactive for more than 2 months will be deactivated until the student notifies the admissions office at admissions@weddingplanninginstitute.com of the student’s intention to continue the course/studies. At this time the student will be re-activated with a new password. Students that pass the 6 month period will be subject to additional fees for re-activation and enrollment.

Career/Job Placement Assistance
Once a student graduates they have the option to untilize the LWPI career assistants department. LWPI's career liason's will provide students with information on area businesses looking to hire certified wedding planners or interns.

Payment for any and all programs offered at The Wedding Planning Institute are NON-REFUNDABLE once a student accesses the online course. Withdrawal from any program must be received in writing at The Wedding Planning Institute admissions office within three business days starting from the time the student enrolled in order to qualify for a refund. Students participating in a payment plan are still responsible for the remaining balance at time of cancellation if student has accessed the online course materials.
